Translating Firewall Configurations

If you are working on a project to migrate from Cisco, Juniper or Checkpoint to Fortinet here is a handy utility on the Fortinet website which can help out. It let's you take configuration files from the three other major vendors out there and converts what it can for you into Fortinet speak.

It's a pity they don't have a Fortigate to Fortigate option for people upgrading to a larger or newer device.

That's true. However by manually tweaking the config a little bit (such as interface names, etc) I have migrated a number of these configs in the past since the syntax is the mostly the same between different hardware platforms.
